Inmetco historical 2

A sprawling and diverse site that was once home to the Ellwood Weldless Tube Co, founded by Ralph Stiefel. After his invention of the rotary piercing process, the Swiss born engineer's invention ultimately became the central nucleus for US Steel's National Tube Division at this property.

Today, the 92-acre site is currently being renovated on multiple fronts. First, to revive the INMETCO process of recycling batteries, both consumer and business related, that is housed within the largest structure on-site. A revival of the business means protecting the environment, re-introducing 100+ jobs within the Ellwood City community, and re-opening a trusted destination for the proper recycling of environmentally sensitive material.

Second, a portion of the property is under renovation and available For Lease to the commercial marketplace. Availabilities include office and light warehouse.

Finally, Inmetco has heavy power ability with a sub-station on site. It enjoys the exclusivity of being one of the few sites in Western Pennsylvania with this amount of land + power, and therefore we are open to the possibility of users in the Data Center & AI spaces.
